Photographer John Kemp, came to us looking to update the brand identity and promotional materials for his wedding and social photography business.
He was looking to appeal to a more upmarket clientele than he had previously, and create an identity that effectively communicated his bespoke wedding and event photography, and his many years of experience.
We created a brand identity that was both modern and timeless by focusing on keeping the logo simple, with clean lines and elegant typography. The logotype was complemented by a bespoke ‘JK’ brand mark positioned in the centre of the design.
The new identity was supported by a new ‘brochure’ designed to show off John’s work to full advantage — rather than show a large number of images we chose to create a design that used just three A5 cards (printed on environmentally-friendly 400gsm stock using water based inks) with a single printed at full-bleed on one side. The cards are contained within a simple 300gsm weight branded folder.
The advantage of the design is that the cards can be changed easily to display new work, and one of the cards can be used on it’s own as a cost-effective handout at shows and networking events.
