The Association of Mining Analysts, a UK-based not-for-profit membership organisation that hosts events and provides resources to analysts in the minerals industry, approached us to create a new website that would enable it to communicate more effectively with its members.
A significant challenge faced by the organisation was maintaining up-to-date records of membership and ensuring dues were collected efficiently when memberships lapsed — the previous website led to numerous issues with memberships that had fallen due going undiscovered, and did not allow for member only content to be presented on the site.
We designed and developed a responsive (it works equally well on desktop, tablet and mobile devices) membership website built on the WordPress content management platform.
The membership functions integrate with PayPal Pro for processing payments, and the email service MailChimp for handling membership and marketing communications. People looking to join the association can now do so through the site (functionality that was not available before) and current members are informed when their membership fees become due.
The site also allows for exclusive members only content to be published, and also features an events calendar integrated with Eventbrite for managing the promotion and booking of AMA events. In addition, the site boasts a more modern and attractive design than the previous incarnation.
